The Application Scientist role will be responsible for conducting demonstrations of Aurox confocal microscopy instruments at our demo facilities in Oxford and globally. In addition, the role will be responsible for training our users Worldwide on the operation of their instruments.
The role involves the production of high quality scientific reports following customer demonstrations and the communication of Aurox’s messages to other scientists through presentations at conferences and user meetings.
The advertised role will be based at the Aurox headquarters in Oxford, UK, although the successful applicant will be required to travel internationally up to 50% of the time.
Your knowledge of the current market situation for confocal microscopy equipment will be beneficial in helping to understand how to engage customers.
Experience and Skills:
You will have good knowledge of using confocal microscopy for live cell imaging as a research tool and be able to engage customers in a positive and enthusiastic manner. Attention to detail is critical for accurate reporting of scientific facts.
Location: Oxford UK
The candidate will primarily be responsible for designing and building software to power the confocal instruments built by Aurox. In practice this will mean work on both R&D and production systems. The role will also involve communicating directly with business partners and clients to understand their requirements and assisting in product demonstrations and trade shows.
