Aurox was founded in 2004 by four renowned scientists who worked in the Scanning Optical Microscopy group at the University of Oxford, with over 100 years of confocal microscopy experience between them. Between 2004 and 2017 Aurox developed novel confocal imaging systems which were sold through their OEM partners servicing the Life Sciences, Medical and Materials marketplaces. From 2017 Aurox has focused mainly on the field of Life Science Research.
All Aurox products are based on their patented Laser Free Confocal Imaging capabilities which ensures lower photo -bleaching and reduced photo -toxicity for the precious samples of the researcher. These systems do not have the restrictions associated with expensive lasers systems making them less expensive to purchase and far easier to install and support. There is therefore no need for expensive service contracts.

We imaged a Drosophila mid-gut to exemplify how fast large mosaics can be taken with the Aurox Clarity. 4-channels, 4 z-levels and 50 tiles, imaged in 8 mins.
